LAN Party and Weekend Fun

Well, I just got back from a LAN party at a friend's house. As nerdy as that sounds, twas very fun. :-D As I explain in the latest podcast, I will soon be blowing away windows. It's about time. I'll be moving to Gentoo Linux. I have installed/used it before, so nothing new. Just time for a change.

Get the podcast here. 16:34 / 15.5Mb / @ 128kbps.

Production Notes:

First Song: "Acid Rain" by Liquid Tension Experiment on the album Liquid Tension Experiment 2.

Second Song: "Mission" by Amon Tobin on the album Bricolage.

Awesome Game Mentioned: Battlefield 1942.

If anything was forgotten, or you just think it should be seen up here, feel free to let me know.

WOW!! I just found this screen-shot I accidentally took of the visualizer playing on the T.V. This is only the beginning of the multifaceted plugin. The G-Force visual plugin for iTunes (Mac or PC) ROCKS!!! I recommend it for everyone.

How is Gentoo? I have never tried it, but recently delved into the world of Linux and am using Fedora Core 3. I'm 16, so I'm not that much older than you. Is it hard to install?

It's an easy install if you follow directions... :-D I kinda messed that one up a little the first time I installed it in 8th grade.;-) It is a pretty lengthy install (only when compared with other installs i.e. Fedora, or Mandrake), but the end result is totally worth it. The Portage tree installation packaging system is one of the smartest designs for any OS. Beware: when you install gentoo, you will be inundated with computer info and knowledge, not a bad thing tho.

Indeed, I am aware of that. I'm not sure if I wanted to broadcast that across the internet, which would be why I chose the less questionable liquid. ;-)
