Movin' Right Along
When I look back on the past week, it seems to have been moving at simple, steady, sultry pace. It seemed to go SO slowly while during the fact, and it still seems to have gone slowly, but not that slow... Does this make sense?
The LAN party was a total success. We only played two games. Battlefield, and Red Alert 2 (only two of us could play Red Alert at a time due to copying restrictions :-P ). So Battlefield 1942 dominated by far. And, just about everything worked flawlessly. AND we had a record number of attendees, 7. B01N6.
Driving is cool. And since I'm 16 now, I can get a job. :-D Therefore, I've been applying all over the place. I'd love to have some kind of tech support/network assistant job, but I'm willing to take a job just about anywhere. I would just prefer to put my tech skills to work. O, if any of you happen to be employers, check out my resume. It might be a little loose and informal, but it best describes me.
Upcoming Events
- none, really. Except that next week is basically review week, and the week after that I have exams, and then....
I'm FRRREEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Monday Monday
I woke up with a migraine today. >:-{ It felt like a small needle had been jabbed into the left side of my brain, with a small string of pain that lead to my cerebellum. But, I have learned to live with such things as migraines, so it wasn't relatively that bad, even though it took a couple of hours for the medicine to kick in.
These are beautiful days weather-wise, and I guess in any other sense as well. But the weather specifically seems to be having a fine time making things pleasant for us. The cooler temperatures are a little bit of a surprise, but the sunlight and the green leaves warm the soul. :-P Cheesy, I know.
Finally, pictures will be up soon on my dad's photo website of How to Succeed. Feel free to order prints online; they will be delivered to FRA for pickup. It'll be a large gallery of around 300 images, so be prepared to look for a while and relive the madness of the musical.

New Month
Moving on, I saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe yesterday. Well, it didn't stick to the book, but I didn't really expect it to. Overall I'd say it was good. They did do a wonderful job of keeping the random hilarity that Douglas Adams intended in his novel. They kept plenty of small detail events in the plot, but the overall storyline deviated a good bit from the book. I recommend it... Go see it, then be inspired to read the book. I will definitely be picking up the book again sometime this week.
I can drive, this is fun. And, as always, life plows onward.
Though for the departed (show) we shed a mournful tear...

Inspiration
Computer Talk:
My Debian file-server crashed over the weekend. :-( I needed a quick-fix, so I installed Mandrake 10.1 with a samba server. Pretty easygoing right? This hopefully won't be permanent, seeing as it didn't really fix anything. SWAT/Samba is pretty messed up (a thorn in my side, no doubt). I'll probably be switching to a gentoo server mainly because I know/love gentoo. Until then, all my music files will just sit on an unused Hard Drive. :-(

Q&A with Emmanuel Goldstein.
Hacking is, very simply, asking a lot of questions and refusing to stop asking. This is why computers are perfect for inquisitive people -- they don't tell you to shut up when you keep asking questions or inputting commands over and over and over. But hacking doesn't have to confine itself to computers. Anyone with an inquisitive mind, a sense of adventure and strong beliefs in free speech and the right to know most definitely has a bit of the hacker spirit in them.
Q&A with IBM's Charles Palmer.
Hacking is unauthorized use of computer and network resources. (The term "hacker" originally meant a very gifted programmer. In recent years though, with easier access to multiple systems, it now has negative implications.

Wow, the quality looks aweful here, but just view it in a new window. (click on it.) Indeed, Battlefield 1942 has taken off with me again. Alas, it is terribly fun.

First song: "I am Back" by Mr. Projectile. on the album "Sinking".
Not too much else went on in this one. :-P o well.
I did throw in a WONDERFUL picture from space. Yes, i spent some time searching NASA's "photoblog". The coolest things, happen in space. But, you'll have to view it from the album art. The picture is of a certain flower, which, let's just say, I'm handing to you, the listeners. (Awwww..) Whatever that means...
Let's see how long this habbit will last.
As for the RSS feed... IT'S BACK UP!!

Procrastination
I also have a creative writing article to write for history. One would think: "Win, that oughta be an easy thing to do, you're so creative..." And that would make sense, but somehow i can't force creativity to spew out of my mind right now.
This is the way we put out the candel.
Farwell to childhood.
Deep in the wild wood a fire goes out,
Now we are grown up?
This is the way we pull up the anchor.
Goodbye to romance.
Out on the ocean a good ship is lost.
And what are we left with,
Now we are grown up?
